A Mississippi school has decided that only white students can run for class president? Um…That’s pretty stupid.
Black students aren’t allowed to run for class vice president in the 6th or 7th grade, either. But by the time the 8th grade rolls around, the school has seemingly determined that African-American kids are civilized enough to warrant an opportunity to serve as second-in-command to a white guy. How progressive!
Of course, if you are Asian or Hispanic or any other race besides “Black” or “White,” you need not apply for any leadership role in school.
